We are thrilled to announce that today, for the first-time in company history, an all-female AV and production crew was deployed for an event.
IMS was a sponsor and the technology provider for the first ever ELEVATE!, a conference organized by the Association for Women in Events (AWE), an international non-profit organization dedicated to the professional advancement of women in the events industry.
“AWE is representing and advocating for women in our industry in new and innovative ways, and sponsoring the first ever ELEVATE! conference was an easy decision,” commented Jill Renninger, president of IMS. “We immediately recognized a unique opportunity for this event and decided that it would be planned and managed by a female AV and technical crew. The event was designed for women in our industry and would take place the day prior to International Women’s Day. If ever there was a time to mark this milestone in IMS history, this was it.”
“AV has historically been a male-dominated industry, but more women are joining our field and bringing unique perspectives to the technical side of event AV, production, and staging,” said Julie Renninger, director of sales for IMS. “Today is a significant day in our history, and I am thrilled that we had this opportunity to showcase the talented women on our team.”
“Our culture of excellence means we continually strive to push ourselves and our industry to new heights. Running this event with an all-female crew marks a significant achievement for IMS and our industry. I am proud of the work our team delivered for ELEVATE!,” added Paul Wedesky, CASE, CMP, chief operating officer for the event staging division.
