The month of June always makes professionals in our industry giddy with excitement. For three days in the middle of the month, technology manufacturers converge in Orlando or Las Vegas (this year it was Orlando) to present their latest and greatest products to system integrators, staging professionals, and end users.
Every June, tens of thousands of Audio Visual and Communications Technology professionals gather at the industry trade show InfoComm.
This was my second year attending InfoComm, the AV industry’s National Convention, and my first time wearing an IMS name badge. My take-away is that the extensive up-front planning by the IMS team was worth the energy. It yielded quality meetings and a broader net cast over this massive event. InfoComm truly is a jungle; our job as an experienced AV integration firm was to explore and conquer it in less than three days.
InfoComm 2014 has come and gone, but it seems like just yesterday I was battling the heat and checking in to my hotel!
The show floor hasn't yet opened at InfoComm 2014 but there is already buzz about one of the vendors.
This June, InfoComm International, the trade association representing the commercial audiovisual and information communication industries, will be celebrating its 75th anniversary.
