Project Synopsis

The Foundry partnered with IMS to design, build, and integrate a full featured audio system that would also meet an aggressive timeline and budget, while maintaining the integrity of design of the interior aesthetics. The IMS Account Team managed the process of designing a solution that paralleled the flexibility of the Foundry’s configuration possibilities, with successful completion in the November 2008.

The Result

The Foundry’s audio system is capable of meeting the needs of all of its clients. When moving from the exterior to the Heritage Center, Pre-function, Main Cupola, Mezzanine and West Ballroom, the sound system envelops the space with even coverage while not being aesthetically obtrusive. Full room control can be done via web browser with key room control for the staff centrally located in the Main Cupola. The Foundry also leverages IMS Event Staging providing a seamless solution to its clients for enhanced audio, video, lighting, and staging when needed. In addition, The Foundry holds the distinction of being an IMS Certified Virtual Meeting Facility

In the open spaces, Sound Tube RS speakers hang up high in the cross beams 20’ above the finished floor. Guests of the Foundry have wireless microphone access along with iPod connectivity to the system. The Foundry can use the system to cover the entire facility for one event, or separate into individual event spaces, each with its own audio support…technology, architecture, and history in a happy coexistence!
