Jason Cataldi, CTS, VP of sales and marketing - event staging for IMS Technology Services talks about events going high-tech in the new issue of Mid-Atlantic Events.
"Jason Cataldi, CTS, is VP of sales and marketing, meeting and event staging for IMS Technology Services. He said that among the biggest questions asked of IMS during the initial brainstorming sessions with their clients surrounds ways to engage or 'wow' the audience while still delivering the core meeting message. 'People are so used to receiving information quickly and at their fingertips. Audiences almost expect to be entertained when attending a meeting.'
Creating this kind of environment often extends beyond production support when presenting the client's message to the audience, noted Cataldi.
He said that even seating-style must be taken into consideration. 'One of the trends we have seen and successfully produced is more of a theater-in-the-round seating style. Using stadium-style seating with a center stage is appealing to our meeting stakeholders as it provides them the ability to move about the stage and present 360-degrees. This is a great choice and very effective when your presenters are skilled and want a more intimate setting.'"
