The Wistar Institute is the nation’s first independent institution devoted to medical research and training. The Wistar Institute has evolved from its beginnings as an anatomical teaching museum to its present-day status as an international leader in basic biomedical research.
The Institute was planning their grand opening gala for the seven-story Robert and Penny Fox Tower. They needed a production partner who could assist with audio, presentations, lighting and video recording taking place in different areas throughout the space.
The Wistar Institute was celebrating the opening of their new tower, as well as recognizing the generous donors who made it possible. The number of attendees meant that guests would be seated in 5 different rooms on the first floor. The Wistar Institute needed a solution to share the presentation video and audio simultaneously through all the rooms. They also wanted guests in each room to feel equally recognized, not as if any one room was less than the others.
IMS Technology Services provided a seamless solution for each portion of the evening – the ribbon cutting in front of the building, cocktails in the upper floor lab areas, and dinner across five rooms on the first floor. During the dinner each guest enjoyed clear audio and a crisp image for video playback, joining the whole group together despite being in different rooms. In addition, IMS designed with different lighting themes for each room, giving guests a unique experience regardless of where they were seated.
