Project Background

Wyeth is a global leader in pharmaceuticals, consumer health care products, and animal health care products.Wyeth’s Collegeville, PA research headquarters has over 5000 employees in a multi-building campus including a fully staffed Conference Center. Wyeth has a global approach to Video Conferencing communications and the Internal Meeting Support group is highly skilled in executing large video-centric meetings. They use IMS as one of their primary AV design and integration experts and depend on IMS integrated AV systems to run their vital business meetings.

Project Synopsis

The Internal Meetings group within Wyeth created a high profile project to expand the Video and Collaborative Conferencing systems capabilities for their 70 seat conference room. In addition to audio visual, there was a need to upgrade the furniture and interiors finishes of the room, as well as raise part of the floor for handicap accessibility. Wyeth chose IMS to collaborate with their facilities, lighting, GC and AV staff in order to complete the Design Build of this multi-use High Definition Video Conference and Global communications hub. Wyeth’s top executives and scientists consider this room critical in utilizing these systems for communication across various divisions and countries within the Wyeth organization.

The IMS Solution

• 70 seat table configuration featuring 35 integrated 4” Clock Audio RF Rejection goose neck microphones, each with its own mute button.
• A Custom programmed Biamp Audia Flex as the DSP of the audio system.
• Custom programmed 15” Crestron Touch panel features HD video preview and control of all aspects of the AV system, Video/Audio Conferencing, Lighting and Shades.
• Four Automated Sony HD PTZ Cameras used with a Polycom HDX 9004 System allow for dynamic HD video for all participants to be seen and heard.
• Display systems includes a 42” confidence display integrated opposite the lectern, 2 -58” Panasonic Professional HD displays flanking a 6000 Lumen HD Panasonic 3 Chip DLP Projection System.
• A 40” lectern can be active from one of two locations w/integrated mic, AV sources and control.

IMS received an “A” on every aspect of the project from Wyeth. The system sings success.
