PROJECT BACKGROUND

A new addition to the West Chester University campus is a large, two-story video wall. The 175,000 s.f. Science & Engineering Commons Center (SECC), that opened in August 2021, is the home of the 23’ x 24’ Learning Stair Video Wall. Designed to accommodate classroom instruction, live streaming, and video-recording, it is comprised of (264) direct view, 4K resolution LED panels, and hardware and software for video processing and content management. The system provides wireless and HDMI wired presentation connectivity, PTZ cameras, in-room audio amplification with voice reinforcement, digital signage capability, as well as assisted listening technology, all controlled through wall-mounted touch panels.

IMS Technology Services was selected to provide AV integration and installation for this large-scale video wall at West Chester University.
