Education: Sheffield Institute for The Recording Arts.
First Job: Ever since I could walk, I was doing sound and concerts with my Dad.
First “Real” Job: General Contractor – Village Management in Baltimore, MD.
Essential Business Philosophy: Continuous improvement and not settling, you can only coast downhill.
Best way to keep a competitive edge: Invest in your knowledge and your people. Technology evolves fast, but culture and capability are what create long-term differentiation.
Yardstick of success: In live events, success is often invisible. When everything runs smoothly, and the audience is fully immersed, we’ve done our job. Our role isn’t to be noticed, it’s to create moments that feel effortless. The true measure of success is when clients don’t have to worry, when the tech fades into the background, and when people walk away remembering the experience, not the execution.
Goal yet to be achieved: To develop the next generation of leaders at IMS, people who will lead with empathy, think strategically, and carry forward a culture of excellence, trust, and continuous improvement.
Best Decision: Joining IMS in 2010 and getting to be a part of building the company. It’s taken me to levels I didn’t expect and has shaped my personal and professional growth.
Worst Decision: I’ve made mistakes, but I don’t dwell on them as the worst. Every misstep has taught me something valuable and pushed me forward. The only real mistake would be not learning from them
Toughest Decision: Leaving the touring industry to be home with my family. It was the right call, but not an easy one.
Mentor: I've had many mentors through different phases of life, but three that stand out are my Uncle Steve, Will Miller, and Rob Ziv.
Personal Interests: Spending time with my wife and 3 daughters, genealogy research, listening to music, and reading books.
