Description

IMS is looking for a seasoned professional Account Executive that is adept at developing the firm’s national growth strategies with new customers.  As the primary customer relationship manager, they are responsible for developing and directing all activities necessary for them to achieve or exceed their defined goals.

Position Accountabilities and Expectations

  • An independent, driven, and motivated thought leader expected to drive business opportunities by identifying prospective corporate clients and associations, evaluating their unique business requirements, and establishing professional, cohesive relationships
  • Directly responsible for $2,000,000+ of the company’s revenue, in addition to all other revenues.  An onboarding ramp-up program has a quota structure to build the Account Executive gradually over 3 years.
  • Manage customer relationships and lead all closing strategic opportunities.
  • Prospects and identifies, through the IMS Sales Program, qualified new business opportunities, the competitive nature of those opportunities, and client budget.
  • Together, with the Customer Relations and Engineering teams, represent the Company with clients; acting as a “client-care officer” through direct contact with major clients; facilitating and delivering a positive resolution of client account challenges.
  • Prepare and deliver executive sales presentations and expertly navigate negotiations with C-level executives in Fortune 2000 organizations.
  • Translate client needs to management and the engineering teams and then develop the technical solution into a scope of work and proposal.
  • Develop quantifiable value propositions to clients based on their individual needs and work to enhance and deliver meaningful data to increasingly sophisticated clients so that they can better manage their budgets and capital assets.
  • Provide accurate & competent recommendations to the Vice President of Sales and marketing for proper sales projections based on their pipeline.
  • Develop an annual business plan, specifically: realistic forecasts, identifying prospects, plan for growing existing customer base, realistic costs of sales to operate to meet the plan, and sales marketing programming.
  • Contribute to the marketing materials, collaterals, advertising, and sponsorships that promote the highest quality image of IMS with employees, customers, vendors, and the community.
  • Maintain company training protocols and documentation monthly, and supply information to management regularly and as required, to track the growth and performance of each member of the Sales Team, about their annual business plan, to improve performance towards achieving their sales quotas and goals.

What You Will Bring

  • Bachelor’s Degree from a four-year accredited college or university in Business or Marketing
  • At least 5 years of technology sales experience
  • Must be able to work with complex strategic accounts including calling on key decision-makers to build and maintain effective, ongoing client relationships
  • Significant sales experience with Fortune 2000 corporations and prestigious institutions of higher education.
  • Proven track record to quantify, demonstrate and prove value to clients continually.
  • Proven track record of building and growing sales and profitability in a technology-related professional services business, closing sales, and satisfying customers at the C-level
  • Proven track record of creating and executing high-growth strategies within the business services or facility services sector.
  • An ability to meet expected quotas and accountabilities for achieving annual revenue targets
  • Connectwise experience a plus but should be familiar with CRM systems
  • An ability to collaborate with other departments
  • Excellent interpersonal, customer interface, communication, and presentation skills
  • Proven ability to listen, extrapolate information, and leverage resources to effectively provide solutions to customer needs
  • Proven ability to negotiate conflict and maintain constructive relationships with people at all levels of the organization
  • Exceptional strategic thinking and structured problem-solving skills
  • An ability to prepare for and execute difficult conversations
