PROJECT BACKGROUND

Bowie State University opened it’s new state-of-the-art Esports facility on February 8, 2024, renovating a space previously used for a legacy supercomputer. With 12 high-performance gaming stations and an eRacing Simulator, it serves as the official training space for Bowie State’s esports team participating in the CIAA and national competitions.

When Bowie State designed the Esports facility, they challenged IMS to create an attractive large format transparent display on the windows of the center that would serve as an informational display, advertisement for upcoming games, and an enticement for students to consider the new Arena. The idea was to create a display that would show impactful content while allowing students to see into the Esports center - especially during competitions.
